Kick counts: your daily check-in with baby

From around week 28, your baby settles into a personal pattern of movement. Getting to know that pattern is one of the simplest and most powerful things you can do.

A common method: once a day, at a time baby is usually active (often after a meal), lie on your left side and count movements — kicks, rolls, flutters, jabs all count. Many doctors use “10 movements within 2 hours” as a reassuring benchmark, but the key is your baby’s normal.
