Moving your body safely through pregnancy
For most pregnancies, 150 minutes a week of moderate activity (brisk walking, swimming, prenatal yoga, stationary cycling) is recommended — it reduces gestational diabetes risk, eases back pain, lifts mood and can even shorten labour.
If you exercised before pregnancy, you can usually continue with modifications. If you are new to exercise, start with 10–15 minute walks and build gradually.
