The embryo is transferred, the screen is switched off, and suddenly the busiest month of your life goes silent: no injections to schedule, no scans to attend — just you, your calendar, and fourteen very long days. For a day-5 (blastocyst) transfer, the timeline runs roughly so: days 1–2 after transfer, the embryo hatches from its shell and settles against the uterine lining; days 3–5, implantation happens — the embryo embeds and connects to your blood supply; days 6–8, the connected embryo begins producing hCG, the pregnancy hormone, which rises daily; by days 9–10, hCG is usually detectable in blood.
